More About Sarv :)

I came to psychology through more than one doorway. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology, an associate degree in Cinema, and a master’s degree in General Psychology. Across that path, I have combined research, teaching, and applied work, each shaping how I understand people and the questions I choose to study.

Outside the university, I try to remain connected to the wider cultural and social world. I regularly attend talks and debates on cultural and sociopolitical issues because I value hearing perspectives that challenge my own and thinking through questions beyond the boundaries of my field.

Art offers me another way of staying curious. I spend time in museums and galleries, attend ballet performances, and have a particular affection for Eastern European cinema. Luis Buñuel remains my favorite filmmaker. If you spend any real time with me and somehow do not learn that, I have clearly failed!

I am also happiest wandering through old bookstores, the older the better, and people-watching wherever life gives me the opportunity. Both remind me that every person carries a story, and that there is always more happening beneath the surface than we first assume.
